Sunday Worship: We welcome Rev. Dr. Anthony Bailey as our Guest Minister at Knox this weekend. Anthony is the recently retired Minister at Parkdale United Church.

Interim Moderator Role: Pastor Jim is away this Sunday, leading worship and preaching for St. Paul's Presbyterian Church. He will also lead their Annual Meeting in his capacity as Interim Moderator for that congregation while they are without a Minister. 

Children and Youth: Children and youth are invited to join in Bible-based exploration and activities, and parents and grandparents are welcome to have fun with us too! All will participate in worship in the sanctuary until Children’s Time, then exit via the side door for Sunday School. If you have questions about Knox Sunday School, or would like to get involved, please contact knoxsundayschoolottawa@gmail.com.

If needed, a nursery on the lower level of the church, and a quiet room at the back of the sanctuary with a rocking chair, sink and toys are available for parents with babies and young children. The service can be heard from both places: in the quiet room through speakers in the narthex, and in the nursery with wifi access to the live streamed service. Everyone is also very welcome in the sanctuary. Please ask if there is anything you need.

Bible Study: The next weekly, hybrid Bible Study is Wednesday, March 26th, from 10 to 11 a.m. We will continue the study of the Old Testament prophecy of Zechariah. To join for the first time, in person or online, send an email to pastor.jim.pot@rogers.com.

Prayer & Meditation: The church is open on Wednesdays, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, for prayers, meditation, and to allow the community an opportunity to enjoy our sanctuary.

College & Careers: Join us next Wednesday evening, March 26th, at 7 pm in the Parlour for our video series "Reason for God". Enter through the Garden Courtyard door.    

Jazz Vespers: If you missed Jazz Vespers this past week, the service is available for viewing on our Knox Ottawa You Tube channel (HERE). Guest musicians were Chris Fagan (Vocals), Yves Laroche (Piano); Marek Przednowek (Bass). Continuing our 2024-25 Jazz Vespers theme of Flourishing Virtues, this month's theme for our poetry, readings, music, and prayers was Gentleness. 

150th Anniversary: Save the date of Sunday May 4th for a special worship gathering to mark the 150th Anniversary of the Presbyterian Church in Canada. The event will be held at 3pm and is sponsored by the Presbytery of Ottawa and will be held at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church (971 Woodroffe Ave).

Lifted: A Youth Event, for ages 11-18, hosted by Ottawa Presbytery. Join for a time of fellowship, worship, activities, discussion and snacks on Friday, March 28 at St. Timothy's Presbyterian, 2400 Alta Vista Drive, from 7-9 pm.

Calling ALL Youth: As part of the Presbytery’s 150th anniversary celebration on Sunday May 4th, the planning committee has invited youth to join the celebration and has suggested the following areas for participation: reading Scripture, ushering (welcoming people and helping them find a seat as well as helping with the offering), or serving refreshments. If any of these areas interest you, please reach out to Sunjay Henry via email at prezminanimator@gmail.com or on Instagram @prezzyyouthonfire by April 1.

World Day of Prayer - Cook Islands: As spring is almost here, we look forward to warmer weather and longer days!  Praise God for the beauty of the seasons. 

As certain as the seasonal changes, so also is the certainty of the World Day of Prayer when March arrives. The World Day of Prayer is organized by the World's Inter-Church Council of Canada. A national service was organized by the Women's Missionary Society, Presbyterian Church of Canada, virtually on March 12th. Janet Mrenica attended this session with her granddaughter Ava - it was March break! This year’s WDP worship is written by the women of Cook Islands. It is available for viewing HERE.
