November 7th is the date set to resume serving Out of the Cold meals from Knox church. For the last 25 years meals have been prepared in the kitchen at Knox and served to persons in need on Saturdays from November to March. The Out of the Cold team of volunteers is ready to start again this November, fully aware of the need to be met but also aware of and prepared for the risks of Covid-19. Because of the current rate of transmission of Covid-19, indoor dining even in the church is considered unsafe, so meals will be prepared in the kitchen and available for take-out from 5 PM to 6 PM. Safety precautions include requiring guests to wear masks. Masks will be available for those who don’t have one. We look forward to the time when the pandemic is under sufficient control to once again welcome guests into the building for a sit-down meal of the type enjoyed by so many over the last quarter-century.
