On Thursday morning, February 17th, Rev. Dr. Karen Dimock of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church and Knox Church's Minister, Rev. Jim Pot, were interviewed by Hallie Cotnam, Host of CBC Radio's Ottawa Morning program. Listen to the 10 minute interview HERE . The interview was focused on the purpose and effect of endorsement by over 25 downtown clergy of Christian Churches for a "Solidarity with our Neighbors" communication (see other news item HERE).
The interview also addresses how downtown congregations have been affected by the recent protests, and what churches, other faith groups, and community supports can do to help make space for healing from hurt and division as a result of the protest. As Karen Dimock reminds in the interview, there will be a need for a great amount of listening between family members, friends, colleagues, neighbours, and even members of religious communities from similar faith backgrounds.
