Monthly gatherings, modelled on the earliest followers of “The Way”, for a shared meal, worship and conversation about the meaning of Jesus and faith in the context of the gospel of John. Please join us in the Knox parlour starting with a casual potluck meal.
Knox is pleased to welcome Elizabeth May, the leader of the Green Party, who will speak on Faith and Politics at our Annual Spring Dinner. Ms. May has a long record as a committed and dedicated advocate for social justice, the environment and human rights. While she is known for her environmental activism, she is perhaps not as well known as an activist in declaring her faith. Ms. May believes wearing her faith on her sleeve is a matter of honesty and transparency. “Being a Christian in politics is part of who I am as a person, so I don’t hide it.”
The dinner will be held in Iona Hall with a reception at 6:00 pm followed by a three course roast beef dinner at 6:30 pm. Vegetarian and gluten free options are available if the Church Office is notified before April 22. Please let your friends know of this engaging evening and get your tickets early. We look forward to seeing you on April 29.
The Annual Book Sale for Knox Church will take place May 2, 2015, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There are over a 1,000 books to choose from including Children and Adult literature.
