Stabat Mater – Music for Holy Week »

The Cantata Singers of Ottawa concert will perform settings of the Stabat Mater by Palestrina, Nystedt and Gesualdo, featuring cellist Vernon Regehr. Wednesday, April 20th at 8pm. Knox Presbyterian Church. Pre-concert talk: 7:30pm. Tickets: Adults $25 ($20 in advance), Seniors $20 ($15 in advance) and Students $10.

First Baptist Church Ottawa at the corner of Laurier and Elgin Streets hosts a series of noon hour recitals Thursdays in March. All concerts are at 12:15 p.m. and admission is $5 at the door.

Ceilidh! »

The Knox Scottish Country Dancers will be sponsoring a Ceilidh on Friday, January 28th at 7:30 p.m. in Geneva Hall. Entertainment will be provided by Donald MacDonald, Garth Hampson (accompanied by Mervyn Games), Ernest Ruppenthal, and Hilary Hay.

Three Pianos »

The Temporal Board has reviewed the question of whether to keep the three old pianos located in the Parlour, the Chinese Room and Iona Hall. The piano in the Parlour is a Heinzman and the one in Iona Hall an Orme.
