St. Andrew’s Church (Ottawa) has created a banner and will be participating in KAIROS Cross-Canada Action in Support of the UN Declaration of Rights for Indigenous People on Monday, June 20th. They invite all who are interested to join them in this action the public event will begin on Victoria Island at 10:30 with a number of speakers, drumming, and assembly of the banners. Then the banner procession will begin, accompanied by drummers and musicians and proceeding to Parliament Hill. At 12:45 the procession will move from Parliament Hill to the Human Rights Monument. After a welcome by musicians and brief presentations, all will then be invited by an elder to join a celebratory feast at Knox Presbyterian Church on Elgin Street.
